It's so comforting to know that Amtrak will finally allow checked weapons. This restriction must have been a huge travel impediment for our 2nd Amendment loving citizens.

Actually, I am thinking about going to South America for Xmas. Not sure if it's Peru or Brazil or Argentina yet. Does anyone have any guidelines or experiences one way or the other? Please post.

Lots of people are familiar with the deals offered by Cheap Tickets. But did you also know they have a great travel blog. All of their up-to-the-minute deals are outlined there but with a much more in-depth look at what there is to do at these various destinations and more details about the offers.
